Hi!
I'm Tomas, and this is my portfolio. I am currently living in Ottawa, Canada, studying at Carleton University, majoring in Interactive Multimedia and Design. I have experience in web development working with the federal government, private industry, and non profits. I have built sites in Drupal, Wordpress, CLF 2.0 and more.In terms of what I can do for you, I have years of experience in the web with, and like using PHP/HTML/CSS/MySQL/Flash/JavaScript and some other fun stuff. I really like making sites in Drupal and Wordpress as well as crafting my own solutions (like this one) when you need something special. Visually, I have spent a great deal of time with much of Adobe's Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and even some 3D modeling in Maya and Cinema 4D.
I absolutely love the web, especially all those cool new tools and social content. I also love biking, bacon, Lost, and video games (good 'ol NES). I love punk and ska, and any good rock show. I help out with Oasis YM and it's the most enjoyable thing I do, they are some of the best people I know.

Oasis YM
Oasis YM is a student ministry in Orleans, Ontario. The website serves as a means of communication with students and their parents, providing information on meetings and special events, as well as different types of media.
The Oasis YM website is a custom Drupal website made to suit the needs of the group. It includes the ability for podcasting, blogging, events, flickr integration and much more. Some features are only available to those logged in, but check out the site to see the public facing side.

Echelon Blog
Echelon was a group of young adults who went to Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Olympics to volunteer in hospitality as well as perform a drama for teens about depression and abusive relationships. The blog was made to keep friends and family back home up to date on what they were doing on a daily basis
The Echelon blog was created in Wordpress with a custom theme. The project also involved photography of the individuals.

MDS Nordion Flash Piece
MDS Nordion processes and delivers medical isotopes for treatment in hospitals all over North America. This piece describes the story of how the life saving materials get into the doctors hands to treat patients
The MDS Nordion flash piece was written in ActionScript 3, and much of the animations are scripted. I was required to write the code and create fluid animations for the piece, as well as tweak provided designs.
Not Even Death
Not Even Death is a hardcore band from Ottawa, Ontario who are looking for a website to share with their fans. The image seen above is one of my favourite concepts from early on in the project. Due to visual identity changes, the website was never completed, but will launch with a new design, along with a brand new album, to be completed Summer 2010.

Purely a personal piece of a photograph I took, completed entirely in Illustrator.
Transmit Sticker
Oasis YM often requires graphic work for many events, this one being for a retreat they held. I was given the title and tried to create something thet visually represented the theme.
The logo is another piece I created for Oasis YM and was used for a number of years.

Ignite was a concert, I had all freedom with the logo, and the above is the final result.

This is a concert poster I designed in Photoshop and Illustrator. The goal was something that reminds the viewer of a comic book.

Traced Short Movie
A short film created for a school project by a small team of motivated design students. I was lead 3D animator, but also because of the size of the team, helped here and there in all aspects from pre-production to the final product.
